Njabala Blossom Fundraiser

Creating safe spaces for Women Artists to Blossom

Help Secure the next Five Years of Njabala Foundation

The next five years of the Njabala Foundation demand more than just tenacity—they require a significant financial commitment to sustain our essential pillars: space, team, and programs. We are calling on individuals and institutions to support our mission by donating to the fundraiser. Your contributions can make a transformative difference.

Why We Need Your Support

A Home for Njabala Foundation

We need funds to establish a permanent home—a dedicated space where we can host events, welcome visitors, and preserve our work from past and future activities. Operating exclusively online for the past four years has been a tremendous challenge. We are missing out on the invaluable experiences that physical interactions offer, from growing our team to cultivating and catering to audience needs that can only happen in person.

Supporting Our Team

Our small, dedicated team works tirelessly, often for little or no pay. It’s urgent that we are in a position to offer them fair compensation for their labor. With reliable and regular income, we can build a strong, agile team that will drive Njabala Foundation towards a future of groundbreaking achievements.

Funding Our Programs

Currently, our projects rely on third-party grants and collaborations. While we will continue to seek grants, we need a more sustainable revenue stream to support our core programs and your donation is a step in the right direction towards building a better foundation for us and the cultural system at large.

Expanding the Cultural Ecosystem

At Njabala Foundation, we believe in the power of culture to shape societies. By supporting us, you are not just helping a single organization; you are investing in the entire Ugandan cultural ecosystem and beyond. Our work provides a platform for local artists, giving them the space and resources to create, collaborate, and showcase their talents. This, in turn, enriches the cultural landscape of Uganda, promotes tourism, and fosters a sense of national pride.

What's at stake

This fundraiser is about survival. Without it, we cannot guarantee the continuation of our mission to create safe spaces for women artists. We wish to survive for the thousands of guests we have welcomed to our events, for the women artists we have supported, and for the various cultural workers, artists, researchers, students, and institutions who have been impacted by our work.

Your support is crucial.
