Saziso Phiri is a freelance curator and cultural producer passionate about early career and emerging artistic development. She founded The Anti Gallery, a curation and artist development platform engaging art outside formal art gallery environments, producing over 30 engagements since its launch in 2016. As a freelancer, Saziso has worked with Backlit Gallery, New Art Exchange, Nottingham Contemporary, Format Photography Festival, City Arts Nottingham, Nuart Productions in Norway, and UK New Artists. She has contributed to symposiums and talks at Primary, DeMontford University, Sheffield Hallam University, and the University of Nottingham. Threshold Studios, Centrala, Museums Sheffield, Mansions of the Future and NN Contemporary. Saziso is also an artist mentor and occasionally sits on open call and selection panels for exhibitions and artist residences.
